1. Amazon India

The US e-commerce giant Amazon reaches 89 percent of its Indian audience, according to Statista. As of January 2015, the site generates 322.54 million monthly visitors, the highest number in India.

2. Flipkart




Flipkart is the largest Indian eCommerce company based in Bengaluru. The company was founded by Binny Bansal and Sachin Bansal in October 2007. flipkart online services actually operates under the name Flipkart Online Services Pvt. Flipkart is owned by Limited. Books, movies, music, games, consoles, gaming accessories, mobile devices, mobile accessories, cameras, etc. are the main items on the site.

Though it may trail Amazon by 100 million monthly visitors, Flipkart still holds its own against international giants like Amazon.

alibaba.com is owned by Alibaba Group Holding Limited based in China. Alibaba's web portal offers B2B, B2C, and C2C sales services. Alibaba is the world's largest and most valuable retailer since April 2016. Over 200 countries are currently served by the company. India's fastest-growing retail company is Alibaba.

Alibaba offers a similar offering to its Indian rival Flipkart, including home and kitchen, tools and hardware, rubber and plastics, electrical equipment and supplies, vehicles and accessories, toys and hobbies, consumer electronics, apparel, and more.

4. Sanpdeal




Snapdeal was founded by Kunal Bahl and Rohit Bansal in February 2010. Its headquarters are in Delhi. Originally a daily deal platform, the company became an online marketplace in September 2011. Known for its variety of online shopping, Snapdeal has attracted a lot of attention from customers and investors alike. 

There are more than 300000 sellers on the site across India. Furthermore, there are over 30 million products offered by the company across 800+ different categories from 135 thousand regional, national, and international brands and retailers.
Visitors estimated at 56.41 million per month.

The most popular Snapdeal category is electronics, but the online store also offers fashion, toys, beauty, health, books, and home and kitchen products. 

5. Myntra




In 2007, Myntra launched as a pure-play e-commerce site, and has since grown into one of the most prominent fashion, home, and lifestyle e-commerce sites in India. Due to its 2014 sale to Flipkart, as well as its acquisition of Jabong.com, the company has grown even further. 

Among the merchandise available at Myntra, there are apparel, home goods, and childrenswear from global and local brands.

A web portal called indiamart.com belongs to IndianMART InterMESH Ltd. Dinesh Agarwal and Brijesh Agrawal founded the company in 1996 to provide B2B services. Its headquarters are in Noida.
